At Fylde Law we understand that a relationship break down can be one of the most distressing and difficult events in life, which can often leave people feeling isolated, angry and confused. Our years of experience mean we can deliver sympathetic, helpful advice to help guide you through the process in the most straight-forward, stress free and least acrimonious way possible.
At all times our commitment is to obtaining the best outcome for you and any children that are involved.
We are also experts at resolving the financial issues which arise upon divorce, whatever your background and whatever your financial situation. Read more about financial settlements on divorce here.
If you have children then you will need to consider who the children are going to live with and what contact you or your spouse is entitled to. Read more about matters relating to children here.
Fylde Law clients are also entitled to apply for Legal Aid through our membership of the Family Legal Aid scheme, although funding is severely limited and is usually only granted where there is an element of domestic violence or if a child of the marriage had been, or is under threat of abduction. We can advise you as to whether you might qualify and help you complete and submit your application.
In all other cases Fylde Law will happy to act for you on a Fixed Fee basis. Our fixed charges for a basic divorce are just £550.00 + VAT. If there is a dispute over the financial settlement, or there are issues involving children of the marriage which cannot be resolved amicably, then this is likely to incur an additional charge, but in keeping with Fylde Laws principle of clear pricing, you will be given a quotation for the cost of this work before we begin. What's more, we won't take any other steps until you tell us you are happy to proceed.
Please be aware that Fylde Laws fixed fee of £550.00 + VAT, does not include the cost of the Court Fee. This is a single fee of £550.00 and must be paid to the court when the Divorce petition is sent to it.
